Chef Adrian Gutierrez

The heart of 100 King, Chef Adrian Gutierrez, says the beauty of food is in its simplicity. His skilled hands distill the food's essence and transform it into haute cuisine. "It all starts the minute you pick up the ingredient," he says. Working at the Willard Room honed Gutierrez' artistry and strengthened the French influence obvious in his style. Originally from Northern California, it is easy to see the impression it made upon Gutierrez cuisine - simple, bold, elegant. With Chef Denis Soriano, Gutierrez painstakingly created the original offerings at 100 King. Today, Gutierrez runs the entire operation at 100 King's enthusiastic request. A graduate of the University School of Culinary Arts, as well as of the kitchens of the US Navy, Gutierrez is a rising star and his food is a "must" for those visiting Alexandria, Virginia.
